I’m not an expert, but I think you’ve made a mistake. 2^n as n goes to infinity is a very large number (infinity). 1 over a very large number (infinity) is a very small number (approaches zero). It seems like that last term, then, is 0 not 1.

Rob. You’re dumb.
It’s a SUM, so it’s like 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 + 1/16 + 1/32 + … + 0 = 1. Only the LAST term goes to 0.
Leave the math to the south campus majors! =P

I won’t lie… I really wish it was the bank validated version of the check that was scanned (you know, the copy you get after it’s been cashed) as I’m curious if the bank cashed the check. As far as I know there are no *rules* per se regarding how you write out a check (writing in equations would be similar to writing your check in a foreign language, and they must cash those right?).
Totally funny.
